Cynthia Leigh Garrett

Cynthia Leigh Garrett, 58, of Story, Arkansas, passed away at her home, Tuesday, May 31, 2022. She was born March 28, 1964, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to John C. And Peggy (Rainwater) Smith. Cynthia is preceded in death by her grandson, Cade Ackard and her mother-in-law, Joann Mitchum.

Cynthia was an employee of Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for 25 years in the Hot Spring office.

Cynthia is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ed Garrett, son, Jackie Austin, daughters, Niki Golden, Brook (Derrick) Nichols, and Jessie (Jason) Patterson, grandchildren, Abbi Phillips, Ryder Nichols, CJ Golden, Nora Patterson, AJ Garrett, Jo Jo Foreman and Cooper Patterson, parents, John and Peggy Smith, brother, Randy Smith, uncle, Mike (Bunny) Rainwater, cousin, Jennifer Rainwater.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 11:00am, at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Ida, Arkansas, with Bro. Ron Newberry officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, Arkansas. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
