Edward (Eddie) Gaston

Edward (Eddie) Gaston, 73, of Mount Ida, passed away May 13, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Eddie, known to many as Bub, was born October 28, 1950, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Everett and Louise (Mayberry) Gaston. He is preceded in death by both his parents.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Becky, daughter Samantha Watts and husband David, brother Niris Gaston and wife Mary Rhea, along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and dear friends.

Eddie was a devoted husband and father. He served his country as a distinguished member of the Air National Guard for over 38 years and retired in 2007 as a Chief Master Sergeant. He enjoyed riding around the farm, checking in on new calves, and just spending time on the tractor. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 10:30 to 11:30 at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, Arkansas. A memorial service will be Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2 pm at Mount Ida Methodist Church in Mount Ida, Arkansas with Larry Carr officiating.
