Gordon T Smith Jr

Gordon T Smith JR, 82, of Story, AR, passed away June 4,2024, at CHI St Vincent in Hot Springs, AR with his daughters at his side. He was born January 31,1942 in Hot Springs, AR, to Gordon Smith SR. and Naomi Robbins Mayberry. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Tommy is survived by two daughters Sherrie (Dale) Morris, Lisa (Marty) Haynes, one sister, Rose Ann Paradise. One granddaughter Lexi Morris, two step grandchildren Caitlin Haynes and Devon Haynes. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tommy retired from Forsgren Inc. Then went on to enjoy many years caring for the properties of Montgomery County Nursing Home and Assisted Living Facilities as well as transporting residents to medical appointments. Gordon was an avid fisherman and loved deer hunting and riding motorcycles. Gordon never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

There will be a private family celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Montgomery County Nursing Home or Montgomery County Assisted Living at PO Box 1208 Mount Ida, AR 71957, in Gordon's memory. May he rest in peace.
