John Bryan McCoy, 71 of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, February 24, 2022. John was born March 25, 1950, in Jerusalem, Arkansas to the late John Bryan Sr. and Gladys Jewell (Riley) McCoy. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, 2 brothers; Vernon and Dale McCoy and a sister-in-law; Gean McCoy.
John is survived by his wife of 39 years; Malinda McCoy, 2 sons; Danny McCoy and John Bryan McCoy III, wife Rebekah; a daughter; Patricia Trantham, sister; Brenda Jones, husband Lee, 3 brothers; Tony McCoy, wife, Jody; Curt Riley, wife Nadine; Hank Riley, wife Hope; grandchildren; Bryan McCoy, wife Alicia; Kelsey McCoy, Caitlin Trantham, Casey Trantham, Aiden McCoy and Alexis McCoy, great grandchildren; Bladen, Elijah, Isaiah, Azariah, Cruz, Isabella and Noah along with a host of nieces, nephew, other family and friends.
Service will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 10:00 am, at Black Springs Baptist Church in Black Springs, Arkansas with burial at Robertstown Cemetery in Jerusalem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be John McCoy, Danny McCoy, Cody Baxter, Randy Meeks, Rip Meeks and Bryan McCoy. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, Arkansas.
