Mary Dianne Ashcroft

Mary Dianne Ashcroft, 72, of Story, AR, passed away September 28, 2024, at National Park Medical Center with family by her side. Dianne was born June 17, 1952, in Hot Springs, AR to Charles and Mary Lou (Davis) Housley. She preceded in death by both her parents, and father and mother-in-law Herman and Willie Ashcroft.

Dianne had a master’s degree in education. Teaching English for over 30 years in Baytown, TX at Robert Lee High School and at Lake Side High School in Hot Springs, AR. before retiring.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 48 years Herman Ashcroft, son Ian Ashcroft (Marya), grandchildren Lilith and Enoch Ashcroft, brother Charles Steve Housley (Michelle), nephew Charlie Housley (Maddie), niece Connie Housley, host of other family and friends. 

Family will do a Celebration of Dianne’s Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com.
