Terry Lee Norris

Terry Lee Norris, 71, of Mount Ida, AR . A man who knew no stranger, passed away August 10, 2024. with his family and caregiver Melissa McCool by his side. Terry was born February 2, 1953, in Weatherford, TX, to Henry and Alice (Kinser) Norris. Terry is preceded in death by both parents, wife Michelle Norris of 4 years, brothers Charles, Homer, Jimmy and Eldon Norris, sisters Joanne and Shirley Norris. 

Known for his art in many ways Terry left his mark in this world. Be it by paintings and signage he had done or the artful friendships he made and treasured. Tinkering his way through life making the most he could while enjoying as much laughter possible along the way. Picking melody's on almost any stringed instrument with his friends hither and yon. We who knew Terry will miss him dearly.

Terry is survived by son Chase Norris and wife Sheila, grandchildren Gerald and Trevor Norris, brothers Sam Norris and wife Rose, Tony and Tommy Norris and sister Kathy Norris, sister in law Ginger Norris and other family and friends. 

A memorial gathering will be held on October 25, 2024 at 8:00am at the Mount Ida Square. At 8:45 anyone who wishes may join us to Fort Smith National Cemetery, where at 11:00am his service will begin. Arrangements are under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida.
